¡Hola! My name is Lorena Meneses-Carrillo. I have been a Missionary Cenacle Volunteer since 2006. I was born and raised in México City, 30-something years ago. I have the blessing to serve in St. Joseph Church in Bainbridge, GA. Even though we are a small church we are blessed with diverse and generous people. I’m currently serving as the parish secretary, an adviser for the youth group coordinators and helping coordinate events, activities and outings for the youth group. I serve with Hispanic and Migrant Ministry (translating documents, helping file all kinds of forms, going to doctors appointments, etc.) And I help with whatever a new day brings!

Ron and Dolly Reinhart are currently in their second year of service with MCV.

Volunteers Who Completed Long-Term Mission with MCV in 2011:

My name is Courtney Paquin and I was an MCV in Montgomery, Alabama. I am originally from California, which made this a truly eye-opening experience. I volunteered with both Hispanic Ministry and Religious Education. My days consisted of an array of activities including preparing for retreats, teaching English, teaching Liturgy of the Word for children, bible studies, translating at appointments or simply playing with kids. No two days were ever alike! Everyday brought different challenges and blessings. I am thankful to have had this opportunity to respond to the call to service and to be a part of this program!

My name is Kevin Wright and I served with MCV from 2008-2011. I worked with the Migrant Ministry and with Hope House Community Service both of Catholic Charities in the Diocese of Paterson, N.J. At the beginning of my MCV service I lived at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Cenacle, USA in Parsippany, N.J. and later I lived with the Missionary Servants of the Most Holy Trinity at the Shrine of St. Joseph in Stirling, N.J.

Bill and Teresa Carroll are from Phoenix, Arizona. On May 22nd, 2010, they were married and decided to begin married life doing mission work. They served in Portmore, Jamaica (near Kingston) from Fall 2010 into Spring 2011. They were actively involved with the youth, participating in the Catholic Schools Ministry by educating the children more about the faith. They also went to the school to do prayer and reflection with the children. Since Bill has a background in teaching, and Teresa has experience working with children, they also tutored third graders who were struggling with reading. In addition, they ran a homework club after school three days a week.
